Do you allow animals inside your restaurants?

In order to comply with food safety and hygiene regulations, we do not allow animals into our restaurants other than those required by the ADA.

Do you do anything for birthday celebrations?

We do not do anything special for birthdays at this time. However, you are more than welcome to bring a cake to our restaurant or enjoy a dessert from our dessert menu to celebrate your special occasion.

Is there a dress code?

Our restaurants do not have a dress code.

Is Din Tai Fung family friendly?

We definitely are! Just ask BaoBao, our mascot! We also have kid-friendly souvenirs like our stuffed BaoBao and Shao Mai dolls for our younger guests.

Do you cater?

Our Washington and Oregon locations have catering available. For more information, please email events@dintaifungusa.com or call (425) 310-5398, Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM. Our California locations do not offer catering at this time. However, all take-out orders are individually packaged and labeled, so they are perfect for any celebratory occasion or gathering.

How will you keep your guests safe as they dine in?

The safety of our guests and team members continues to be our first priority. We have reevaluated every aspect of the Din Tai Fung experience to reduce contact and promote safety. We have reconfigured our dining rooms, changed all of our cleaning products to be EPA and CDC-approved for use against COVID-19, and upgraded our air filters to MERV 13. Our restaurants are also Marked Safe®️ certified. The Marked Safe®️ System is a COVID-19-compliant, EPA-approved process that disinfects every area of our restaurants to clinically clean standards. Do I need to wear a face covering or mask in order to be seated?

If the local health guidelines require face coverings or masks to dine in at restaurants, all guests will be required to comply. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Are reservations required?

Reservations are curently required to dine at our restaurants.

How can I make a reservation?

To book your reservation, please go to our Locations page and find your preferred location. Then, click the "Book your reservation" button. We recommend booking in advance as the slots fill up quickly.

How can I change my reservation time?

Please refer to the reservation confirmation email and click “Edit Reservation” to find another available time slot.

How can I cancel my reservation?

If you are unable to dine with us and need to cancel your reservation, please click the cancelation link located in your confirmation email.

What is the largest party size you can accommodate?

Our California locations can accommodate up to 6 guests, including highchairs and strollers. Our Washington and Oregon locations can accommodate up to 5 guests, including highchairs and strollers.

Can I make a reservation for a group larger than the maximum party size?

To comply with government requirements, we are not able to accommodate parties larger than the maximum party size.

Does everyone in my party need to be present in order to be seated?

To comply with government requirements for dine-in restaurants, we require all guests in the party to be present in order to be seated.

Do you offer gift cards?

All of our restaurant locations have physical gift cards available for purchase. eGift cards are also available for purchase here.

How do I check the balance on my gift card?

Please use our Gift Card Balance Checker.

I lost my gift card. Can you replace it?

Gift Cards have cash value and unfortunately cannot be replaced. Please keep your gift card in a safe place.

Do you sell gift cards or honor gift cards purchased through third-party websites or apps?

We do not sell gift cards through third parties. For our guests’ safety and privacy, we do not accept gift cards purchased through third parties at our restaurants.

Are gift cards valid for use toward online orders or third-party delivery services?

Our gift cards can only be used on orders placed at our restaurants. They are not valid for use on orders placed through third-party delivery services.

Where can I find nutritional information about your menu?

Unfortunately, we do not have nutritional information at this time. However, we do have detailed allergen information here.

Does your menu change for lunch or dinner?

We offer the same menu throughout the day. However, item availability may vary slightly by location. For our full menu, click here.

Do you have any vegetarian or vegan options?

We want everyone to find a favorite dish at Din Tai Fung. We have 27 vegetarian dishes and 22 vegan dishes available. Please review our Allergen Guide for more information.

Do you offer frozen dumplings for take-out?

We do not offer the option to purchase frozen dumplings at our restaurants. However, our Pork Sticky Rice Wrap, Red Bean Sticky Rice Wrap and 8 Treasure Sticky Rice can be ordered frozen, and our Buns can be ordered cold. Perfect to steam and enjoy at home!

Do you charge an outside dessert fee?

Din Tai Fung offers a wonderful selection of desserts made in-house. However, we understand that our guests may want to celebrate a special occasion with an outside dessert. Please note that we charge an outside dessert fee of $1.00 per guest.

Do you allow food modifications?

To ensure consistency in taste and quality for all of our dishes, we do not allow modifications aside from allergy-related modifications.
